Hakach Transfert

During my internship at Hakach, I replaced its old PHP website with a bilingual Next.js site. I also worked on the internal admin product and continued maintaining the work after the internship.

The Hakach home page: Welcome to Hakach, connecting globally, paying locally, beside a phone showing an instant transfer

Hakach moves money between Türkiye and African countries, with real customers already using their mobile app. It was a small team with direct contact with the founder and face-to-face meetings. What I built was often in front of the person who asked for it within the week.

My main job was hakach.com itself: an old PHP site replaced by a multi-page Next.js build from scratch, in English and French. I also worked on their internal admin site, fixing bugs and adding features. When the internship ended I kept working with them, maintaining what I'd built and adding to it as they asked.

Built with

  • Next.js
  • TypeScript
  • i18n
  • The app download page, with App Store and Google Play badges beside a phone mockup
  • The exchange rates page, a table of live buying and selling rates by currency corridor, updated daily
  • The mobile home page in English
  • The same mobile home page in French
  • The impact figures on mobile: transactions completed, funds transferred and active clients
  • The app download page on mobile
